Moderately hazy with noticable particles in suspension and minimal head retention, smells of pine with a peppery rye background. The taste is crisp and very bready with a lightly toasted and nutty characteristic paired to a thick, full body. The finish is long and moderate to high in bitterness, with flavors of pine, herbal hops and subtle citrus peel. Overall, I was expecting a NE style IPA here being labelled “Vermont IPA” and being hazy; what I got is closer to an English IPA with it’s bold malt profile, but it is still very enjoyable nonetheless.
