I review the beers I drink

Maine Beer Company – Mean Old Tom

Flashlight shows a deep ruby color, excellent head retention, smells of roasted malts, coffee, and faint vanilla. The taste is crisp with notes of charred bread and smoke giving way to coffee and dark chocolate on a smooth medium body. The finish is long and low to moderate in bitterness, featuring notes of vanilla, herbal, and spicy hops. Overall, it’s a solid smoky roasty stout experience with a unique vanilla forward finish that I haven’t seen done before. Very cool.
