Apparently the label art is a throwback to 1991. A clear chestnut pour with light head retention, smells of toasted bread, chocolate, and a hint of smoke. The taste is crisp toasty bread with some stone fruit undertones, particularly cherry, on a medium body. The finish is long but low to moderate in bitterness with herbal and spicy hop notes. Overall, it’s a solid amber lager, dangerously sessionable, but nothing about it really feels like a holiday beer.
